University Press Plc appoints Diete-Spiff, Daudu Independent Non-Executive Directors
University Press Plc has confirmed the appointment of two Independent Non-Executive Directors to its board. They are Her Royal Majesty (Dr.) Josephine A. Diete-Spiff and Joseph B. Daudu (SAN). These appointments were made at the foremost publishing house’s last Annual General Meeting held in Ibadan, Oyo State, Executive Director (Publishing), Folakemi Bademosi, said.
Josephine A. Diete-Spiff is the Chief Executive officer (CEO) of Four Time Product Nigeria Ltd, Chairperson/ Proprietress Titare Star Royal Academy, Legal Secretary and Director, BZB Group Nigeria Ltd, former Chairperson and CEO, Titare Micro Finance Bank Ltd, all in Port Harcourt. She has a Doctoral degree in Business Administration from Walden University, U.S. in 2015, Masters in Business Administration from University of Liverpool, the U.K. in 2012, and a Bachelor of Law, Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), and International Bar Association (IBA). Dr. Diete-Spiff is an author with a few published works under her belt and has written playlets for NTA, Benin City Edo state, Nigeria.
Josephine A. Diete-Spiff is the Queen of Twon Brass Kingdom in Bayelsa State and is happily married with three children. Her appointment to the Board of University Press Plc took effect from September 22, 2021.
Also appointed is Joseph B. Daudu (SAN), a senior practicing lawyer and member of the Nigerian Bar Association, member of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, and public speaker and lecturer, with offices in Abuja, Kaduna and Zaria. A graduate of law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, he started his legal career with Boma Obuofirobo and Co in Port Harcourt and is currently Principal Partner, J. B. Daudu and Co, Zaria, Kaduna and Abuja and was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Daudu was secretary of NBA, Zaria branch (1983 – 1985), Chairman, Zaria branch of NBA (1987 – 1990), President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and Chairman, Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee of the Body of Benchers (2012 – 2018). In 2010, Daudu was appointed Life Bencher Honorary Body of Benchers. He is also the Founder and Coordinator of Rule of Law Development Foundation. His appointment to the Board of Directors of UP Plc took effect from September 12, 2021.
