NYSC Oyo State makes historic visit to Accessible Publishers, Best In Print Academy

WEDNESDAY, November 20, 2024 marked a milestone in the annals of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Oyo State, as the Coordinator Mr. Odoba Abel Oche led a delegation to Accessible Publishers’ corporate headquarters, aptly named the ‘Knowledge Hub’. The team, comprising Mr. Kola Oladele, (Media Head), Barrister Dolapo Adaramodu, (Personal Assistant) Mrs. Adewa A. An, (Ibadan North West Local Government Inspector) and Mr. Bode had warm reception from the Managing Director of Accessible Publishers Ltd and Chairman, Best In Print Academy Mr. Gbadega Adedapo.

The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement and anticipation, as Mr. Adedapo highlighted the numerous opportunities available to Corps members at Best In Print Academy. He emphasized the importance of skills acquisition for gainful employment, urging NYSC management to collaborate and partner with the academy.

While responding, Mr. Oche, visibly impressed by the reception, praised the management’s of Accessible Publishers and Best In Print Academy for the goodwill. According to him ‘Even the blind can feel you’ to underscore the significance of knowledge, character, skills, and training in achieving success. Describing the ‘Knowledge Hub’ as a capacity building centre, Mr. Oche promised to create a synergy between Best In Print Academy and NYSC.

He challenged Corps members to strive for excellence, adding, “If you want to be a star, have a scar. If you are not in the academy, you are an enemy.”

The visit featured mutual exchange of corporate gifts as symbols of the newfound partnership between NYSC and Accessible Publishers Ltd/Best In Print Academy. Also, Mr. Adedapo donated ₦1m to NYSC for the Iseyin camp project. Others included the tour of Best Print Facilities that showcase the state-of-the-art infrastructure and resources available to Corps members.

Group photographs were taken in commemoration of the historic visit and the beginning of a fruitful partnership. Also present at the visit were Mr. Taiwo Akanni (General Manager, Operations), Samuella Ndaeyo (Admin. Manager), Mr. Tosin Akeredolu (Personal Assistant to the Proprietor/Customer Relations Manager), Mr. Dapo Adebayo (Digital Media Head), Mr. Caleb Akinmola (Publishing Manager) and a host of others.

As the visitorssaid goodbye, there was palpable excitement as both parties eagerly anticipated the transformative impact of this new partnership. The collaboration between NYSC and Accessible Publishers Ltd/Best In Print Academy is poised to empower Corps members with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their future endeavours.
