According to the principal organiser of Cosmopolitan Christmas Carol concert, Warri, and MD/CEO of bookshop chain, Flomat Books, Dr Anthony Akpokene, “This is the season to celebrate Jesus Christ. If Christ didn’t come, he wouldn’t have died. So we celebrate the resurrection and birth of Jesus Christ. The bible says if Christ did not die and resurrect, we are of all men the most miserable; all our suffering and sacrifices for the Kingdom of God will be a waste. But halleluyah, Christ came and delivered us and saved us from ourselves and from our sin, and that’s what we are celebrating on Sunday, December 17 in Warri. It’s going to be a scintillating time, a time of worship, a time of godly comedy, a time of meeting one another.

“Warri has become a shadow of itself but we know that when we praise God to the high heavens, the glory of God will come down. So the creators of Delta Peace Musical Concert in 2007 have come together again to re-enact the glory of God. And this time we are having so many artistes who will help bring down the glory of God in Warri. You cannot afford to miss Cosmopolitan Christmas Carol concert.”

Distinguished spiritual leaders expected to grace the Cosmopolitan Christmas Carol include Papa Ayo Oritsejafor, Arch. God-Do-Dell Awomakpa, Bishop Pius Odioko, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Onorfurho and Archbishop Eric Emiaso. The event will also be honoured by the esteemed royal presence of the Olu of Warrior, and the Ovie of Uvwie.
