Publisher celebrates third anniversary with book reading, review, awards

KURIOUS K. Agubom Publishers held its successful three years’ anniversary in professional book publishing at National Library of Nigeria, Owerri, Imo State. The event which featured book reading, review and awards had many dignitaries attending, especially from the academic sector and students from various schools across the state.
It was the celebration of education as well those who have contributed immensely to the development of education in society. The event was anchored by a renowned M.C. and thespian, Mr. Christopher Chinedu Okere, aka ‘Ogada of Africa’ while the ceremony was chaired by an accomplished medical doctor and lecturer, Dr. Christian Ikenna Agubom.
The anniversary featured presentation of awards of excellence to five dignitaries for their immense contributions to development of education in Nigeria. The five awardees are Prof. Ernest Ugo(JP), Uche Douglas Anoruo, Prof. Uchenna Nwaneri, Dr. Christian Ikenna Agubom and Chief Bishop Ahamefule.

There was a book reading and review of a new novel titled Long Wait, written by Agubom Kingsley Anosike (Kurious K). The book was reviewed by a renowned critic and lecturer Dr. Chidi C. Ukagu, who performed an outstanding and comprehensive review. The book reading was presented by Mrs. Ezeh Adaeze and Mrs. Njoku Kelechi Laz, two senior English teachers from one of the secondary schools in Imo State. Students from Baptist High School, Baptist High School, Government Technical College and God’s Doing School, all in Owerri township, also read.
According to the CEO Kurious K Agubom Publishers, Agubom Kingsley Anosike (Kurious K), “Education is the bedrock for societal development and technology.
