…Festival kicks off November 12
WRITERS Interactive Network has concluded plans to light up the Lagos literary landscape this November with its celebration of the arts with ‘Feast of Arts and Book’ festival on November 12, 2022. The festival opens at 8:00am with a red carpet session at Book Fever bookstore at 2 Alhaji Masha Street, Surulere, Lagos. Writers Interactive Network Literary Festival (WINLITFEST), as a literary platform, has the sole purpose of promoting and improving reading and writing skills. Poet laureate and winner of The Nigeria Prize for Literature 2013 for poetry, Mr. Tade Ipadeola (The Sahara Testaments), will headline the festival.
The led-Abraham Onoja WINLITFEST will ignite a passion for the literary arts community in Lagos with its educative and entertainment offerings. It will feature readings, panel discussions, poetry performances, book launches and sales while creating a young WIN Club for students of Eagles Landing High School at the festival, and much more.
The festival will also feature several speakers that cut across different fields such as medicine, literature and more. Dr. Odey Eyeoyibo and Dr. Chinanza Eziaghighala will discuss ‘Bibliotherapy’ while creative non-fiction writer Satyendra Sighn will discuss his book. OJD, Bayo and Ola will showcase their art works while publishers like Nosakhare Collins and Theodore Obi Chikelu will discuss ‘Constructive Criticism & Making Money Through Writing.’ Journalists and writers like Dr. Olayinka Oeygbile (The Dirty Leap), Anote Ajeluorou (Igho Goes to Farm & Libations for Africa) and Richard Mammah (Nana’s Diary) will focus on ‘Nigerian Stories and Breaking Stereotypes.’ Other performances and discussions will have Abiodun Omotubi, Chimamaka Adeniyi, Waleola, Alero Shirly Okiki leading discussions, amongst other resource persons lined up for the event.
The mission of Writers Interactive Network (WIN) is to provide a creative platform where writers and other art professionals flourish with their creativity and various art expressions.
