Language, creative arts, digital innovation confab at Alex Ekwueme Federal University ends today

THE Conference and Literary Art Festivalon hosted by the Department of English and Literary Studies at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, ends, Wednesday, February 7, 2025. Themed, “Dynamics of Language, Creative Arts and Knowledge Outputs in a Digital and Fractured World”, the event explored the intersection of language, creative arts, and emerging digital platforms in shaping knowledge production.
The hybrid conference had scholars, researchers, and creatives who presented papers or creative works that engaged with topics such as Language Dynamics, Use, and Adaptability; Intra and Inter Language Dimensions and Developments; Language Variations and Linguistic Mutations; Digital Literature and Content Development; Literary Inventions and Interventions; Eco-literature, Verbal Arts and Expressions; Emergent Digital Arts, Styles and Technique; Fractured Themes and Digital Preoccupations; Content Creation as Alternative Literature; Language / Literature in Interactions with other Disciplines in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences, and any other related theme.
The conference will also featured both academic presentations and creative performances as part of the Literary Art Festival. Keynote speeches were delivered by Professor of Rhetoric at Southern Methodist University, USA, Prof. Ben Voth, and the lead paper was delivered by Prof. Unoma Azuah, Professor of English at Wiregrass Georgia Tech, USA. The chief host for the conference and Vice-Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, Prof. Sunday Oge Elom, and the host and Dean, Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Arua Oko Omaka were all present.
The convener for the conference and Head of Department, Department of English and Literary Studies, Dr. Romanus Nwoma and Dr. Onyebuchi Nwosu served as chairman of the organizing committee.
