Exploring KOK’s artistic versatility at Artmosphere December 15

THIS Yuletide season, Artmosphere Nigeria will host the actor, writer and one of Nollywood’s greats Kanayo O. Kanayo at Aramidehub, 8 Sabiu Ajose Street, Off Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Surulere, Lagos. What’s more, privileged attendeess will find that their favourite actor is more than a screen idol, as he displays other aspects of his artistic versatility beyond the silver screen.
Many people only see one side of KOK–the actor, but many are beginning to see his penchant to delve into sociopolitical and cultural conversations in unique and engaging ways. How many people know that KOK loves poetry as much as he loves the screen? He is also the author of a cosmopolitan and intriguing novel about lawyers in the city of Lagos titled The Testator.
According to the journalist, poet and founder of Artmosphere, Femo Morgan, “Kanayo is more than ‘Sacrifice’ but if you insist, Christmas is all about sacrifice after all. We will be having robust discussions on his craft as an actor, exploring his repertoire in the film industry, and engaging our newfound discoveries of KOK as a storyteller and poet.”
