Bilkisu Ogueyi appointed General Manager of Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board

KOGI State Government has announced the appointment of Hajia Bilkisu Abdulsalam Ogueyi as the new General Manager of Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board, effective May 24, 2023. According to the letter of appointment signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, the decision to appoint Hajia Ogueyi is predicated on her tenacity of purpose, diligence at work, and her significant contributions to the development of tourism in Nigeria.
Hajia Ogueyi is the owner of one of the most prosperous and thriving tourism companies in Nigeria, BboogTravel and Tours Abuja. She has also served as the President of National Association of Tour Operators in Nigeria (NATOP) and is currently the President of Nigerian Women in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) organization.
“Hajia Bilkisu Abdulsalam Ogueyi’s extensive experience in the tourism industry, coupled with her passion for promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, makes her the ideal candidate to lead Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board,” said Governor Usman Ododo. “We are confident that under her leadership, the state will witness a significant increase in tourism activities and revenue generation.”
Hajia Ogueyi has travelled to over 42 countries, promoting tourism and showcasing the best that Nigeria has to offer. Her appointment is a testament to Kogi State Government’s commitment to positioning the state as a premier tourism destination in Nigeria. Kogi State Government has also congratulated Hajia Ogueyi on her well-deserved appointment and wishes her success in her new role.
