YET again as is customary with BAP Production that gives fans something unique to look forward during festive seasons, the inimitable Bolanle Austen-Peters is set to thrill Lagos holiday makers to what some have aptly described as an unforgettable Christmas love story that many will feel tells their own personal stories in Dear Kaffy – Kike’s Story. The exciting show opens December 26 and runs throughout the Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year till January 5, 2025 – an amazing 11 days of sheer stage performance brilliance with an equally electrifying cast of actors that stars legendary Bimbo Manuel who is a regular featureuin BAP Production.

Dear Kaffy – Kike’s Story is a captivating tale of Kikelomo Olota, a 35 year-old single woman navigating life, love, and societal expectations in Lagos. From her teenage years, Kike’s brilliance in academics earned her admiration, but her lack of romantic relationships set her apart. Determined to fit in, she trades her smarts for popularity, only to find herself entangled in a series of tumultuous relationships. From Femi, a charming but deceitful lover, to Emeka, a seemingly perfect man who turns out to be married, Kike’s journey is filled with heartbreak and lessons that shape her perspective on love and self-worth.

Amid growing pressure from her family, especially her father, Kike is introduced to Debo, a suitor with whom she shares an unexpected connection. However, her past returns in the form of Tamuno, an ex-boyfriend whose presence threatens her budding relationship with Debo. As Kike struggles to reconcile her desires with societal expectations, she is forced to confront her insecurities, redefine her values, and decide what truly matters. With humour, music, and a sharp critique of cultural norms, Dear Kaffy – Kike’s Story is a vibrant exploration of love, identity, and the pursuit of authenticity in the face of overwhelming pressure.

According to the producers, Dear Kaffy: Diary of a Single Lagos Woman follows the lives of three single Nigerian ladies, between 34 and 41, as they tackle the challenges standing between them and the man of their dreams. As the odds against them keep taking new twists and turns, what sacrifices or compromises are they willing to make in order to nail this love thing down? Come chill, relax, let’s vibe and be entertained in the immersive experience of work class theatre. Dear Kaffy is filled with laughter, dancing, thrills and all round fun.

Apart from Bimbo Manuel, other actors on the bill who will thrill fans and make this holiday period just perfect at Terra Kulture Theatre Arena on Tiamiuyu Savage Street, Victoria Island, Lagos include Uzo Osimkpa, Yewande Osamein, Abiola Lepe, Sharon Onyagbulam, Nonzo Bassey, Hector Amiwero, Floyd Igbo and Bukola Ogunnote.
